MS Paint in Windows 7

It’s mind bottling. (Yeah, mind-bottling. You know, when things are so crazy it gets your thoughts all trapped, like in a bottle?)

It’s had the same face since Windows 3.0. In all this time they have given it a couple of new file save formats and a couple new icons. They also moved the palette around. Nothing really game changing.

Windows 7 introduces an MS Paint that you won’t even recognize! Real transparent pixel support allows things like new brushes. Shapes and text are resized and transformed without actually being ‘drawn’ until they’re deselected. Making things look a lot smoother.

There’s a nice set of new features and old features made much better. This version also now saves to PNG be default. Much better quality than JPEG and more ‘portable’ ;). I love it.
